Zewen

Zewen is a Singapore-based singer/guitarist with almost two decades worth of live performing experience. While his introduction to music began at six years old with classical piano, his passion for singing and guitar was only discovered in his late teens. He now mainly plays Pop, Blues, Soul, and R’n’B music. His biggest influences include artists like John Mayer, BB King, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and many more.
As a solo singer/songwriter, Zewen has experience playing original music in the local indie scene under the name Travel Tales and he was one of the featured performers for the National Arts Council’s Noise Singapore 2011. He has also worked as a session musician with several local indie bands performing for Esplanade events like Baybeats and Mosaic.

Zewen is currently working as a full-time singer/guitarist in the local club circuit and has played in venues like Starker Music, Shuffle Bistro Bar, Timbre, OBAR, YOUNGS Bar & Restaurant, and many more. His repertoire includes English and Mandarin Top 40s and Classics.
