Joe

Graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2010, Joe began his musical journey since age 9 in Mayflower Primary School Chinese Orchestra and later started learning the Guzheng at age 11 under the tutelage of Mdm Huo Ruo Wei.
With his distinct musicality, Joe achieved distinctions in his Grade 8, Grade 9 and Deiploma grade examinations awarded by the Central Conservatory of Music, in collaboration with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

In 2006, Joe further polished his Guzheng skills with Mdm Yin Qun and was admitted into NAFA in year 2007 under the tutelage of Mdm Yin Qun. During his academic years, he was exposed to various modern Guzheng compositions and Guzheng concertos. Finally in 2010, he was the first runner up for the 2nd Zhong Xin Competition competing with both Western and Chinese Instrumentalists.
